Hydrations Systems:
There are many different
hydration systems out there. Some people love to you use the simple and good
old fashioned bottle others prefer to keep them hydrated by carrying it on
their backs. Either way, the most important thing is to keep hydrated at all
times.
There are a lot of
different brands out there, but the system that is being reviewed below is from
one of the oldest and trusted brands in the market – CamelBak!
Camelbak Rogue
- Volume:
2 Liters
- 3
Utilities pockets
- Able
to carry Bike Tool, spare tube, bike pump, cellphone, keys.
- Easy
twist on/ Twist off Cap for refuelling
The Camelbak Rogue is
probably one of the more popular hydration packs. It carry's 2 Liters of
liquid, which is a good 2-2.5 hour riding time on avg. The pack has two zip
utility pockets which are ideal for a bike tool, tube, cellphone, keys. There
is also a specific spot for a bicycle pump and a little extra room for that
banana you were saving for the race. One of the greatest things of the Rogue is
the flushness it has while on your back, it does not stick out and is certainly
not uncomfortable. The air vents on the back also make a big
difference. The bladder is also fantastic as it has a large screw off lid, but
still stays attached, and with a quick anti-clockwise turn, is re-locked and
you are ready to go, no more hassling with taking the whole pack out
and trying to shove it back in and hope it fits. The retail price of the Rogue
ranges from 799-999 at most sport and outdoor stores.
